The S178A.

The S178A is the successor to the best selling S177A. The S178A has a more rugged, compact and lighter body compared to the previous model with vastly improved splicing & heating time.

The S153A.

The S153A is a new concept machine which uses an ‘Active clad alignment’ function, which achieves lower splicing loss with less user skills required compared to a conventional Fixed V-groove Clad Alignment Fusion Splicer.

S153 - Active Clad Alignment Fusion Splicer

The S153A is the latest rugged Fusion Splicer using 'Active Clad Alignment' technology. Active Clad Alignment technology utilizes 3 axis (X,Y & Z) alignment in a similar way as Core Alignment Fusion Splicers do. The S153A ’Active Clad Alignment’ fusion splicer is much more resilient to “Dirty V-Grooves” and curved / bent fiber which could pose problems to conventional Clad Alignment Fusion splicers.

Sales by un-authorized dealers

Recently, Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as 'Furukawa') has clearly recognized that Chinese unauthorized dealers have violated Furukawa's intellectual property rights by selling unauthorized S177A fusion splicers (hereinafter referred to as 'Product') throughout the world without approval from Furukawa. They infringe Furukawa's intellectual property rights by converting Chinese software installed in Products dedicated for Chinese customers only, to English software. Furukawa is the sole owner of the copyrights of the software, such conversion is infringement against our copyrights.
This action is deemed as illegal in most of countries and obviously violates Furukawa's intellectual property rights, in particular copyrights. Furukawa will take the initiative to file for injunction and urge a total ban on sales of the Product in the case where unauthorized dealers infringe Furukawa's intellectual property rights.ew GUI & LCD Screen.
