Furukawa Electric’s copper foil is adopted in products as a foundation product for the sustainable society conscious of the global environment preservation and for the IoT society.

Using our own unique surface treatment technology, the copper foil with reduced transmission loss in the high-frequency range was developed by suppressing the surface roughness to the utmost limit, and it supports the performance improvement and the stabilization of the high-speed data communication.

Along with the increase in data transmission speed due to the spread of the mobile terminals, reduction in the transmission loss is required also to the copper foil which is a conductor of the circuit substance.

Especially the current in the high-frequency range tends to concentrate in the surface area of the conductor, then the micro-convexities on a surface give a big influence to the transmission loss.

  • Based on the fine crystal structure, it shows the excellent workability and withstands repeated expansion and contraction in charging and discharging, and achieves the long life of batteries.
  • Based on the excellent heat resistance, the wrinkle occurrence in the active material coating process is suppressed and it is helpful for the improvement of the productivity.
  • Thickness is uniform in both the width direction and the length direction and the thinner and the longer foil is available.
  • Mass production to the thinnest 5μm is available, and it contributes to increase a battery capacity.
