(UC) A thermocouple is an electrical device consisting of two dissimilar electrical conductors forming an electrical junction. It produces a temperature-dependent voltage as a result of the Seebeck effect, and this voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature. (UC) An extension wire is a lead wire that has almost the same thermoelectromotive force characteristics as the thermocouple used in combination. It connects the thermocouple and the receiver and the performance is important for high precision control, as same as thermocouple wire.

Furukawa-SKNH Thermocouple Alloy for High Temperature Application
(UC) Furukawa-SKNH alloy can satisfy increasing demands on the performance and accuracy of Type K thermocouples and for serving longer periods of time at the high temperature. Furukawa-SKNH is the KN leg of Type K, the EMF property behaves the same as regular KN, however it offers advantages when used for Mineral Insulated Cables. It has many achievements not only in Japan but also in Europe and the United States, and is widely used in electric power-related, aircraft-related, and other plants.
